如下为同学雅思原文:

Government should spend money on railways rather than roads, to what extend do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Transportation of a country is just like blood vessel in our body. Different transportation modes such as road, water, air or railway are similar to the network of various thick or thin blood vessels which have their own unique functions and equally crucial for our body to perform normally therefore all are needed by our society. From my point of view,  I think investing funds on railway should benefit more.

Advocates of this believe that today’s inconvenience in long distance journey and crowded railway carriage mean that lots of migrant workers may have to experience a transport disaster before enjoying holidays home. If there were an efficient and convenient railway net, the builders of metropolis would be more likely to back to work with a fresh mode after vocation rather than just collapse on train again and again.

There are, however, some disadvantages. If the governments spend numerous money on building railway, the construction of roads could be faced with limitation and delay, resulting in worse traffic performance during rush hours, which also decrease the life quality of the city dwellers and undoes the early gains. However, these issues can be addressed strategically within better funds distribution.

Some may argue that spend more money on roads building is a better choice, but I say that high-quality railway nets benefit more in both personal life and economic development. so, it is worthy and necessary to enhance the construction of railways.
