Nowadays, majority of people flood into big cities because of the urbanization, which result in many problems in both areas.

Bad consequences can be seen from following aspects. First, overpopulation in cities may put heavy burden on its public transportation system, which may lead to traffic congestion during rush hours. Then, the competition of finding jobs can be more fierce than before due to this phenomenon, which may cause dramatically rise in the unemployment among citizens. What is more, people may

find the resources of education become precious than in the past, because the amount of educational institutions is limited and the capacity of each school do not allow them to accommodate too many students. On the contrary, rural areas may suffer a lot from labor force shortage. Resources can also be wasted, such as derelict farm lands and great number of empty houses. So, the gap between the two sites will be increase constantly and causing the unbalanced development of a region and nation.

Problems can be solved by following measures. Government should allocate more financial funds to them to improve their welfare system and construct infrastructure and more entertainment facilities to improve their standard of lives. What is more, the government and local community should formulate some preferential policies to create more job opportunities, for example, supporting them boost economy by developing local characteristics industries. The most important thing is that their values should be corrected and they need to be informed that they may have potential conflicts with city people because their conception are varied from those in urban areas.

To sum up, the crucial point is that government should figure out ideas to make sure that villagers’ basic desire for living can be satisfied, on this basis, a series of measures can be implemented to  ease this trend by helping people narrow the gap between rural areas and urban areas.
