如下为同学雅思原文： Today,some policemen are required to carry
guns when they are working.People argue that this would increase the violence
in society.In my opinion,while police with guns may lead to some violence,it
would be lower the levels of violence of society as a whole. It is true that police with guns seem to
cause some incidents of violence.If policemen abuse their guns,for example,when
they are going after the escaped prisoner,they may shoot in self-defense.
This may lead to some unfortunate incidents
which is should not happen,thus the atmosphere of violence will be
strengthened.In addition,If the guns of police are falling in the criminals’ hand by
accident,it may pose a threat to the public,thus the public might suffer the
extremely sense of insecurity .
However,I admit that carrying guns by
police may cause some unnecessary violences,I argue that in general this would
lower the levels of violence.Policemen who go on patrol with guns are able to
stop crimes as soon as possible.This is because policemen can prevent people
from committing crimes when they saw them immediately ,minimizing the damages
to society and preventing damage escalation.In addition,police carrying guns
would deter the offender from committing offenses,because those criminals know they will be punished if they disobey
the laws.
In conclusion,police carrying guns will not
increase the levels of violence in the society as long as the government an
