 Given three pie charts reveal the percentage of various transportation which are private cars, public transport, recreational vehicles and lorries and other commercial vehicles utilized throughout in UK in 1965,1985 and 2005.

 Overall, we can see that the use of the private cars had the most significant growth throughout the three periods whereas other kinds of transport showed a downward trend at least once over  40 years.

 Firstly, the percentage of using private cars dramatically increase form 1965 to 1985, growing by 15% over 20 years. Furthermore, it increased slightly to reach the highest point at 60% in 2005.

 In contrast, The use of recreational vehicles and that of public transport declined by 10% and 5%. Finally, both of the percentage of two kinds of vehicles utilized increased a little bit by 3% and 2% in the last two decades.

 Albeit the use of lorries and other commercial vehicles kept stable in the previous 20 years, it usage dropped by half to reach a record low usage rate of 10% from 1985 to 2005.
