如下为同学雅思原文： It arouses public discussion and
concern that whether juvenile delinquents committing serious crimes should be
penalized as same as the adults. In my opinion, I totally agree with it. The penalty of those young wrongdoers should not be reduced just
by their age. Punishing delinquents as other
criminals can indicate and maintain the fair in the society. The catastrophic
hurts victims and their families both mentally and physically. With regard to
the former, sufferers will suffer from psychic trauma left by them for years.
In addition, some people lost arms or legs during fighting with criminals, even
their life. However, offenders after a relative short period of prisoning and
receiving education about legal system can start a new life again and live happily,
which is strongly unfair to the sufferers. Furthermore, the sense of unfair in
the mind of victims and their family may push them to commit crimes for
revenge, which affects society more heavily. Another advantage of this change
can prevent other youngsters from committing a crime. What should be noticed is
that, currently, delinquents are punished relatively light, which will lead to
more followers who wants to act illegally. If the punishment of delinquency is heavier,
the opportunity cost of wrongdoing will increase, which means that those young
people take a higher risk. In conclusion, that punishment of
law treats young people and adult in the same way is beneficial to both victims
and society. It comforts victims and their family, because offenders have
already been punished fairly, and the fair of society is indicated. In addition,
it prevents other followers from wrongdoing. It is a good idea which should
implement as soon as possible.
