History was always been the main subject in
school's curriculum. Some people argue that science and technology are more important in this new society. In
my opinion, I agree that the later ones play a more vital role in today's
world.

The main two reasons why some people hold
the view that history is more important can be as follows. For one, learning
history is a way to acknowledge the past. For example, history tells people how
every creature in the world come into existence. Without history, people will
not know what is the process of human evolution. For the other, reflecting
history helps human beings gain precious expetience. With the constant
reflection from historical events, people can avoid making the same mistakes
that had been made before.
As for those who argue that Science and
Technology have a more significant importance, they may say that those
scientific subjects are more practical, compared with historic subject.
Companies can make great use of technological means to create advanced machine,
which provides people with more options to entertain and helps them to improve
work efficiency. With the assistance of technology, nations can explore more
unknown secrets about the universe. What is more, science and technology
contribute to solve tough problems concerning environment and resources. Take
new kinds of energy as an example. Scientists have found several
environmental-friendly energy, say, wind and solar energy, to alleviate the
green-house effect.
In a word, I am deeply convinced that
compared with history, science and technology are more important because their
