Recent years have seen a severe degradation of the environment, and thus as a solution, some people argue that a good way to mitigate the problem is to rise the price of the fuels. However, I am not in favor of this opinion. It is undeniable that make the cost of fuels more unaffordable does aid to ameliorate environmental problems to some extent. For example, this approach can deter the public, especially the underprivileged, from using private cars, which can reduce the release of carbon dioxide astronomically. Nevertheless, detrimental ramifications of rising cost of fuels can be too numerous to be enumerated. The paramount one is that it stifles the economic development ineluctably. Rising cost of fuels would make it more expensive to transport and commute, and thus promote the expenditure of many businesses. If companies avoid using vehicles to travel, their efficiency would be reduced, undermining their productivity too. Therefore, on no account this means can be harmful for the economy growth. Additionally, prohibitively high fuel price imposes a burden on the ordinary public, which leads to inconvenience of life. Taking budgets for transport into consideration, many people would choose public trains and buses instead of private cars albeit the former choice would waste large mounts of time. In this case, increasing cost of fuels sparks the problem of inconvenience. In conclusion, rise the price of fuels can act as way to help preserving the environment, but I believe that it is not a favorable way because of its bad implications for the economy and individuals’ life. 如下为外教修改后的作文: 如下为下载链接(包含了同学原片以及修改后的,请下载后电脑查看,手机无法看到完整版): |
