Recent years have seen the phenomenon that in some places the civilians can observe the trials of the convicted and thus there has been a heated debate on the implications. From my own perspective, the upsides far outweigh the downsides. It is undeniable that public criminal trials have the drawback of violating individual’s privacy ineluctably. Although the criminals do violate the laws, they also have the right to choose to not be trialed publicly for later upward mobility of their lives. To illustrate such case, if a teenager is sent to prison because of theft, he also has a chance to be a good man after prison. However, if he is being trialed publicly, it would be extremely hard for him to get accepted by the people knowing him. Nevertheless, this kind of trial also has numerous advantages to enumerate. The paramount one is that it can aid in educating the public, and thus can reduce crimes astronomically in the long run. Showing the criminal trials on TV is good way to alarm the public and regulate their behavior. For example, teenagers are so young that they are prone to make mistakes. By watching this kind trails on TV, they can know more about the laws and know the dos and don’ts. Additionally, public trials can guarantee the justice of a trail. Because in this case, the ordinary people are get involved in a certain case, supervising the whole process. In conclusion, I deem that the pros outweigh the cons when it comes to public trials because it has tremendous educational and supervision value, albeit it can have harmful outgrowth of the criminals themselves 如下为外教修改后的作文: 如下为下载链接(包含了同学原片以及修改后的,请下载后电脑查看,手机无法看到完整版): |
