WRITING TASK 1

You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

You recently went to a concert and thought one of the singers was very good. You want to tell him how you feel.

Write a letter to the singer. In your letter

l say how you feel about his performance

l give details of your musical activities

l explain how you would like him to help you with your musical activities

Write at least 150 words. You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:  Dear_______,

Dear Mary,

I am writing to let you know how I enjoy your performance in the TW concert last week. Your performance is excellent I have never heard before. I feel your voice not only relaxed me, but also gave me new ideas about my musical activities.

My musical activity is singing in the “perfect” club which is for elder people who have interested in performance as a new hobby. I joined this club for five year, and recently I am invited to join a special group which will go to China next month. Thus, I think I need more practices to keep my voice stability.  

Thus, I would like to ask you whether you have free time to help me with my performance. Because after I heard your performance, I do believe you are good at this skill. I hope to practice with you for my singing skills.
