With the development of the city ,people become more and more focused on transport , there are two different views about whether we should spend money on constructing new railwany lines or improving existing public transport.

There are two main reasons for improving existing public transport .Firstly, improving existing public transport may has a lower cost than build a new one , it may save the cost of surveying and labor. Secondly, it may increase efficiency , for example, the passager may spend more than one hour from Tianjin to Beijing by the normal train , but nowadays , we only need spend half an hour from Tianjin to Beijing by taking the high-speed rail , that may save lots of time for people who live in Tianjin and work in Beijing .

However , I would agree with those who believe that we should spend money on construting new railway lines.In most countries,the city is quite scattered, and it is necessary to expand coverage of the railway , for example, some countryside was really poor , and was less connected with the well-developed city, so it was necessary to build a railway line to the countryside , to promote tourism and help local economic development, that may help the people who had a low income to get out of the trouble , and it also can encourage the connection with each city, it’s maybe more convenient for people to contact each other.

In conclusion ,while there are some reasons to believe that we should spent money on improving existing public transport , my own view is that , we should focus on constructing new railway lines.
