From my perspective, I support the former view. There are several reasons for following what local people do. First of all, it shows the respect to local culture as the old saying goes: do as a Roman do in Roma. Only in this way, the disturbance to the native residents can be reduced to the minimum. In addition to that, it can also help the visitors to experience the attractions and cultures in a more vivid way. They will have chance to see the unique views, enjoy outlandish food and communicate with the local people, which create special memories for them and highlight the meaning of touring. Admittedly, the host country can also benefit from welcoming different cultures. For instance, wider horizons and more commercial opportunities are the positive impact from the foreigners. Moreover, the cities and life styles can also be more international due to the adaption to them. However, there is a potential risk in such changes, which results in the lost of native culture if the host country absorbs too much external factors without protecting internal ones. It’s not uncommon that a city is full of universal skyscrapers while lacks of traditional buildings and costumes. In conclusion, considering the respect to original cultures and the unusual experience of the visitors, I agree that it’s essential to follow the native cultures and costumes. 如下为外教修改后的作文: |
